As you may know, CSTA is conducting a national survey of CS teachers and we’d love to see every member of our chapter contribute! This is a different survey from the CSTA chapter feedback survey. Please take 20-25 minutes out of your day to participate in this survey (https://smash.az1.qualtrics. com/jfe/form/SV_ 6tA37X1WK5WLxVc?Source= cstachapters). The results will be used to make recommendations to improve support for CS teachers.
As thanks for your time, the first 4,000 teachers who complete the survey will receive their choice of a $10 Tremendous gift card (options: Amazon, Target, Walmart, Starbucks, Dunkin). All participants will be entered in a raffle for one of five $200 gift cards. Please feel free to share the survey with other CS teachers by forwarding this email! If you have any questions, please contact membership@csteachers.org. Thank you for contributing vital insights to improving K-12 computer science education!
C-Forum is a group that helps Technology Trainers and Staff Developers across the state of Utah learn new concepts, share resources and network with colleagues. Monthly meetings are held at various locations around Utah during the school year. C-Forum is a synergistic group that combines the resources, ideas, and expertise of its members to promote integration of appropriate technology into daily classroom activities, high quality professional development aligned with national professional development standards, sharing of best instructional practices; access to technology by Utah students and educators, and ongoing development of educational technology tools, resources, and practice in Utah schools. We feel that their goals overlap significantly with ours so we'd love to promote them here.
Are you and your school district ready to take the next step in your computer science education initiatives? We have an exciting free opportunity for school districts in Utah to participate in CSforALL’s SCRIPT (Strategic CSforALL Resource and Implementation Planning Tool) Workshop, normally priced over $60k, generously provided to you at no cost from our partners at Northrop Grumman Foundation. SCRIPT is a two-day workshop that prepares school and district leaders, administrators, & superintendents to develop a comprehensive computer science implementation plan to create or enrich their initiatives for the school year, and the CSforALL SCRIPT team is committed to providing ongoing support for participating teams for up to one year post-workshop as a part of this ongoing partnership.
